Ravens rumor reveals possible backup plan after failed Maxx Crosby trade originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders will not be finalizing the trade involving superstar edge rusher Maxx Crosby.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAccording to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Crosby failed his physical, so Baltimore backed out of the deal.
"Welp: It’s not just players that can change their minds. Teams can, too. But clearly there is a reason, and Maxx Crosby still had to take and pass a physical coming off a significant knee injury," Schefter said.
Failing to trade for Crosby due to a failed physical is a tough blow for the Ravens, but it sounds like the team could already have a backup plan in mind.
An NFL general manager texted insider Jordan Schultz that he believes Baltimore will now sign Trey Hendrickson to address their pass rush.

Hendrickson's free agency market hasn't been great, but the veteran is expected to make a decision on where he will sign on Wednesday.
Though core muscle surgery limited Hendrickson to just eight games and four sacks in 2025, he's one of the most dominant and productive pass rushers in the sport when healthy, and would be a fantastic fit on the Ravens' defense.
Hendrickson still has the ability to be a No. 1 pass rusher, and joining Baltimore would give him the opportunity to have a major bounce-back in 2026.
