Specifically, USA Today’s MLB insider Bob Nightengale reported on Tuesday that the Red Sox are expected to “aggressively” pursue Bichette.
Bichette enjoyed a resurgent 2025 campaign with the Toronto Blue Jays, slashing .311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs, 94 RBIs, and 78 runs scored across 139 games. Battling a left knee sprain that landed him on the injured list in September, he returned to aid the Jays’ postseason run, appearing in the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

A two-time All-Star who twice led the AL in hits, he boasts a career .806 OPS and 21.0 WAR. Now 27, Bichette is garnering serious interest from multiple powerful suitors, with the Philadelphia Phillies seen as a strong possibility.
