One of the remaining and most important prospects in the Spartans' recruiting 2026 class will reportedly visit Michigan State later this month.
Michigan State verbal commit Samson Gash of Novi, Mich. will reportedly visit the Spartans later this month, according to Allen Trieu of 247Sports. Gash will visit Michigan State on January 30. He will also visit Penn State this upcoming weekend, per 247Sports.

Gash has been verbally committed to Michigan State since late June but elected to not sign with the Spartans during the early signing period earlier this month. He remained verbally committed to the Spartans but is exploring all options at this time. Gash has recently picked up offers from Penn State and Georgia, and has also been heavily connected with Alabama as well. However, it now appears Penn State is the biggest competitor to the Spartans for Gash's commitment, as both schools will look to win him over before signing day comes in February.
